Another year down.
I have been spending time in the beautiful sun porch at my dad and his wife's house on a farm outside of Prince George. The natural light has been so helpful when creating my recent transparent umber works
These are smaller "12 x 9" and will be framed and available very soon.
I am in love with the raw umber against the stark white of the recycled bristol, and the different saturation of paint, that dripped, and puddled. I drew inspiration from Lee Krasner, and Helen Frankenthaler, 2 amazing abstract artists that expressed themselves unapologetically.
Each painting was created with the title in mind, whether it is an exploration of family in its many forms, or the beauty of solitude and stillness in the landscape surrounding me. I will continue creating these sets until I am drawn to create something else.
If you would like to know more about these paintings, or any other paintings, please contact me, I would love to chat with you.
On the business end of things, I am on Threads, and continue to use Instagram. I no longer post to Facebook.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope your new year is filled with creative possibilities.
